The short version
K-Map Solver doesn't require an account, doesn't ask you to sign up, and doesn't send what you type into the solver to any server — every calculation runs directly in your browser. We collect very little, and this page describes exactly what.
What we don't collect
- No account registration, no usernames, no passwords.
- No storage of the K-map inputs, expressions, or minterm lists you enter — that data exists only in your browser's memory while you're using the tool and is never transmitted to us.
- No tracking cookies or advertising identifiers.
- No sale of any data to third parties, of any kind.
What is stored locally in your browser
Your dark/light mode preference is saved using your browser's local storage, purely so the site remembers your choice on your next visit. This stays on your device — it is never sent to us or to any third party.
Standard technical logs
Like virtually any website, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information for every request — IP address, browser user-agent string, the page requested, and the timestamp. This is standard web server access logging used for security and reliability (detecting abuse, diagnosing errors), not for tracking individuals or building profiles, and we do not cross-reference it with any other data.
Third-party services we use
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts' content delivery network. Loading a font from Google's servers means your browser makes a direct request to Google as part of rendering the page, which can expose your IP address to Google under their own privacy policy — we don't control or receive that data ourselves. If ad or analytics services are ever added in the future, this policy will be updated before they go live, not after.
Children's privacy
This site is an educational tool for digital logic and Boolean algebra, generally used in the context of coursework, and isn't directed at young children specifically. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, regardless of age, beyond the standard technical logs described above.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way — for example, if we add analytics or advertising — we'll update the date at the top of this page and describe the change here.
